Swift 3.2

Semi-scale version of the famous Swift S-1 aerobatic sailplane, developed in the early 1990s from the Polish SZD-21 Kobuz.

Since the beginning of ’90, many RC glider manufacturers have been presenting their own version of this outperforming glider. As per the 2.5 meter wingspan version, Glider_it has interpreted this project together with its engineers and pilots. The result is a pure acrobatic machine equipped with an airfoil thickness equal to 8,7% capable to guarantee an outstanding maximum speed together as well as a very high ratio of energy restitution.

Furthermore, for the 3.2 wingspan version, we have added some more technical features like a carbon wing joiner 40x20mm, ailerons and flaps hinged to the lower surface, closed trailing edges through a fiberglass lip and finally a 2.4ghz “friendly” fuselage (glass on the nose, carbon on the back).
